Dr. Yannis Bassias, President & CEO of Hellenic Hydrocarbon Resources Management (HHRM) SA on the exploration of oil and gas potential in Greece

On Friday, 8th of June 2018, at 18:00 (room 802) participants of the course Energy Economics and Management, conducted by Prof. Tsani and Prof. Koundouri, will have the opportunity to gain greater insight on the exploration of oil and gas potential in Greece. Dr. Yiannis Bassias ()  with an extensive, academic and professional experience over the last 25 years, is invited to share his knowledge on issues related to:

-Local content, technological capacity and need for experienced technical staff and service companies in Greece for the coming years

-Experience and lessons for Greece drawn from other countries in Central America, North Africa, East Africa in terms of "how many years it will take to start having revenues"

-Environmental concerns and taxation

-HHRM role and interactions with the businesses that have been granted exploration rights so far

-Economic policies relevant to oil and gas

The lecture is open to current students and alumni of the Program.

The upcoming ‘Back-to-school’ is now on! Deadline date: 9.5.2018

Healthcare and Life Science sector: Valuable insights shared by high-caliber guest speakers

In the frame of the course “Strategic Restructuring in the Healthcare and Life Sciences Sector” , conducted by Dr. Emmanuel Alexandrakis, two leading experts will give  presentations with an open discussion on the developments, critical issues and challenges of the Healthcare sector, at the premises of the MBA International.

More specifically on the 11th of April 2018, Dr. Agis Tsouros, Former Director of Policy and Governance for Health and Wellbeing at the World Health Organization (WHO) and current Secretary General in World Institute for Cities Diplomacy and International Adviser in Global Healthy Cities, will focus his presentation on the following key questions:

-Why has our understanding of health changed dramatically in the past 40 years?

-What are the critical issues, values and concepts that should underpin the framing of 21st century health development policies and strategies?

-What are the imperatives of global health and sustainable development?

-What are the key features of modern health systems according to the WHO European Strategy for Health and Wellbeing-Health 2020?

Following Dr. Tsouros’ insightful presentation, on the 16th of April 2018, Dr. Platon Peristeris, Consultant in Pharmaceuticals and ex Medical Director, MSD Greece, Cyprus and Malta, will introduce attendees to Biologics & Biosimilars. Biologic therapies and the Biosimilars markets will be presented as one of the current major areas of interest of the pharma industry but also of other key stakeholders of the Health sector such as payors and patients. The topics of pricing, Greek biosimilar policy, patient registries, therapeutic protocols and patient access to biologic medicine will be explored and an interactive discussion session will follow.

AUEB’s ΜΒΑ International Career Fair 2018

We are pleased to inform you that the MBA International program and the i-MBA Alumni Association are jointly organizing the 15th annual i-MBA Career Fair on Wednesday, 25th April 2018, 10.00 am to 7.00 pm.

For the last 14 years, the i-MBA Career Fair brings together under the same roof experienced professionals and entry level talented individuals with some of the biggest multinational and Greek companies. With strong and diverse academic and professional background and skills that are instilled at the program's curriculum (leadership skills, strategic thinking, international exposure, ability to leverage technology and achieve high level results, etc) our students and alumni fulfill the diverse needs of companies of all sectors, and have proven to be a strong asset for them.

By increasing employment opportunities for the students and alumni of the program and by offering a wide choice for selection to recruiters, this event has been established as one of the most successful and effective Career Events for both participating companies, and students and alumni of the Program.

This year the number of participating candidates will range from 100-120, while about 40 companies will be there to recruit them. Participation is open exclusively to i-MBA students and alumni.
